About Warrior Trail Running
Warrior Trail Running was founded with a multifaceted mission. At its core, we exist to support the Warrior Trail Foundation (WTF) and its mission to improve the lives of U.S. veterans. Through trail running coaching scholarships, the Foundation empowers veterans to build healthier lifestyles, find purpose through movement, and connect with a supportive trail running community. These programs are more than just athletic opportunities—they are life-changing, and in many cases, life-saving.
A key inspiration behind Warrior Trail Running was to bring the multi-day endurance trail running experience to our home state of Pennsylvania, making it more accessible to the eastern U.S. trail running community. With that vision in mind, we reimagined our events to be flexible, innovative, and participant-driven—allowing each runner to create their own unique adventure, challenge, and connection with the trail.
Our commitment to creating a positive socio-economic impact in the region remains stronger than ever and is further amplified by this new approach.
Thank you for supporting our mission and helping us make a difference—one step, one mile, one life at a time.

It is 110 miles of Pennsylvania’s toughest trails, including sections of the Black Forest and Mid-State Trails. Named in homage to Cherry Springs and its place on the International Dark Sky Registry. With 20,000’+ of elevation gain, this race will test your climbing (and descent) skills. A generous 60-hour cutoff provides the opportunity for a true multi-day experience. Whether a first 100 or first race in PA, this is an opportunity to explore new trails and create memories to last a lifetime. REGISTRATION FEE: $22
THE WOOLY 50K

The Wooly 50K makes its debut in 2025, offering 31 miles of classic Pennsylvania trails. This point-to-point course shares much of the Dark Sky / Cherry Springs’ legendary final miles, with an adventurous detour onto the Tiadaghton Trail, where sweeping views of Pine Creek await.
Runners can also take on the optional 2.3-mile Eiger Loop, a mental and physical challenge that earns a special prize at the finish.
Named after the historic Woolrich Mill near the finish line, the Wooly 50K is built to satisfy both first-time ultrarunners and seasoned athletes seeking a race-oriented long training effort. With nearly 7,000 feet of climbing and 8,000 feet of descent, this course will put both your uphill grit and downhill legs to the test.
A generous 12-hour cutoff gives everyone the chance to push their limits—and maybe even log some miles under the stars. Like our other events, the Wooly embraces the FKT spirit: run it supported with a trusted trail buddy, as a team in any style, self-supported or fully unsupported. REGISTRATION FEE: $22
