Race Directors

Warrior Trail is a collective of trail explorers from different walks of life whose passions align when fostering experiences that expand the horizons of possibility within the human mind, body, and soul. It is our belief that immersing ourselves in great challenges and banding together with those willing to support us in the midst of the battle will sharpen and enrich the “Warrior Spirit” of all involved.

Pennsylvania born and raised, we are proud of what our state has to offer and excited to share it with the world!

Warrior Trail Running was developed by United States Army Veteran MAJ (Ret.) Christopher Raup. Chris went back to running in 2015, running his first marathon at the Marine Corps Marathon to raise money through Team in Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of his Father.

Unafraid to undertake big things, his race education includes a number of 50K’s, the JFK 50 and Silver Rush 50, UROC 100K, Black Canyon 100K, the Leadville 100, and an attempt at the Triple Crown of 200’s ending in a finish at Moab 240 and Bigfoot 200 “redemption” the following year. While not always a “finisher,” he believes the reward is in the journey and works to inspire others.

As a ‘90 graduate of Lock Haven University, Chris is elated to bring Warrior Trail Runs to Lock Haven and take runners on a journey across some of Pennsylvania’s wildest terrain.

Chris is the Founder and President of Warrior Trail Running, LLC, and the Warrior Trail Foundation, a Registered Principle and CEO of Ascend Wealth Consulting, and a Certified Leadership & Performance and Ultra Running Coach at Warrior Coach.

Christopher Raup, Founder

Brian has been running for 20 years since joining the cross country team in 7th grade. He ran his first marathon in the spring of 2015 and his first 50K in 2020. He completed his first 50 miler in the spring of 2023.

In 2022, he became the Race Director for the Carlisle Downtown Mile. A runner for 20 years, Brian has found that running is the best way for him to relax and explore new areas. He loves trail running with new and old friends.

Brian will serve as a Race Director during the event, coordinating the myriad of tasks necessary to conduct a race of this length and duration. He hopes the Warrior Trail runs to be an experience for runners, crew and volunteers that will help them grow and learn more about themselves, perhaps leaving as a different person than when they arrived.
